Avowed x Northspore

We partnered with Northspore to bring the game to life…literally. In the game, the flora and fauna are affected by “the dream scourge” – a mushroom-looking fungus. We worked with Northspore to develop a 3D printed bear modified for optimal mushroom growth. We worked with North Spore to ensure the bear design was optimized for growth before testing the model IRL by filming a 30-day time-lapse of the growth.

Northspore released a limited run of the Avowed mushroom growth kits and audiences were able to download the 3D print files for free from Obsidian + Northspore’s websites.

Grounded

POV: you’re a kid that’s shrunk down so small your backyard becomes an adventure you need to survive! That’s the premise of the game “Grounded” and the inspiration for our partnership with 11 miniature artists on TikTok. We invited each of them to create a Grounded backyard in their own unique style.

The final pieces showcased the artist’s POV alongside footage of gameplay, resulting in fan excitement to experience the game for themselves and praise for the creators ability to capture the accuracy of the game.

Fear Street: Prom Queen

What started as a simple title treatment idea turned into a full fledged bloody shoot. Netflix loved the idea of a bloody disco ball hanging behind the iconic Fear Street logo but wanted to make sure it looked real. So we made it real.

With a disco ball, a bucket of blood and a spotlight we made their dream a reality and our post-team “reflected” quick tease footage onto the spinning orb for a killer date reveal.

(DISCLAIMER: no real blood was shed in the making of this asset…that I know of).

Kill or Be Killed

To help sell the feature length script for Kill or Be Killed, we developed a showreel that captured the tone, mood and cinematic style of the film to give potential buyers a clear sense of how the story would translate to the screen.

To achieve this, we worked with a small crew to build the opening scene from the film in-house at Buddha. The team storyboarded the sequence to define the visual approach, then designed and built the sets and props needed to bring the scene to life. From there, we moved into production, handling cinematography on set and later completing the edit, sound design, and visual effects internally.

Every stage—from pre-production through post—was executed by our team, allowing us to fully control the look, tone, and pacing of the final piece.

It Ends With Us

We partnered with Sony Pictures to create an immersive book-to-screen piece for the It Ends With Us campaign. Leaning into the film’s themes and aesthetic, as well as their BookTok fanbase, we captured stylistic book shots in order to create a dynamic and seamless TikTok transition, leading into a paneled video of footage paired with text.

Death and Other Details

Buddha Jones worked closely with Hulu to create a date announcement piece to help launch their new show Death And Other Details. Using original footage of each actor captured on green screen, we used Unreal Engine to create a replica of the sets from the show and seamlessly integrate the characters together bringing the piece to life. This spot went on to win Best Digital - Drama at the Golden Trailer Awards.

Atlas x Delola

Loose scripts, limited footage and a dream*.

*The dream being that our social team could work some magic to create a social spot promoting the Netflix film Atlas and Jennifer Lopez’s cocktail brand Delola. With help from our incredible post team, we were able to make the most of the footage we received, including some very creative VFX 👂.

Shining Vale - S2

For the Shining Vale Season 2 campaign, we partnered with STARZ to create custom content for TikTok. We filmed and produced footage of one of the show’s characters in costume, transforming him into a social media influencer. We filmed him engaging in current TikTok trends and challenges to create shareable clips that built awareness for the new season.

Wuthering Heights

Before romance went mainstream and Heated Rivalry penetrated the hearts of millions, Warner Bros saw that yearning was starting to have a moment and tapped us to help them go all in. We created boundary pushing social content that paired romance with provocation, all through the lens of “the greatest love story ever told.”

By mixing romantic moments, trending formats, feed-breaking elements and just the right amount of steaminess, we sought to quench the thirst of every fangirl (gender neutral) on the internet while inspiring a whole lot of good ol’ fashioned blushing (and ticket buying, of course).
